Increased Capacity
A & G Engineering maximizes a client's capacity by identifying
potential bottlenecks such as equipment, shop loading/scheduling practices,
and labor productivity. We have helped companies increase capacity while
avoiding major expenses in capital equipment and plant expansions.

Facilities
Planning
Our staff of specialists are experts in facilities planning. We help
clients build new factories and distribution centers as well as plan additions
to existing facilities. Our step-by-step approach keeps the client staff
involved in the planning while providing continuous project status feedback.

Reduced Delivery
Time
A & G Engineering has experience, in a wide variety of industries,
helping clients to reduce their delivery time. Our clients achieve a
competitive advantage by being able to provide shorter lead times for their
customers. The effort to reduce lead times includes all facets from receipt of
order to delivery to the customer. Improvements are made in all areas, both
production and non-production. We have considerable success in improving areas
such as Customer Service, Order Processing, and Engineering.

Improved On
Time Delivery
Improved on time delivery begins with the receipt of each order. It is necessary to
make a realistic prediction of where an order fits, based on plant capacity and previous
commitments. The A & G Engineering approach is to install a system that accounts for
current realistic capacity and performance before making a commitment to the customer.

A & G
improves capacity
and on-time delivery for
a large manufacturer. |
| A & G Engineering was employed by a
large manufacturer of custom engineered products to implement a program to improve
productivity. Prior to engaging our services, the company focus was on meeting critical
delivery dates, which often included late penalties. A
& G installed a work measurement system. This included the development
of standard data sets and a method for quick application of job standards for each custom
product.
A system to use the job standards for plant loading, scheduling, and making individual
job assignments was implemented. This involved developing a tracking system for
performance against standards. Training was provided to the management team on the use of
standards and follow up as a tool for productivity improvement.
Production capacity more than doubled and on-time
delivery significantly improved. As a result this company joined the
ranks of satisfied A & G clients
worldwide. |
